8-bitscapes
Services: Print Design / Exhibition Design
Concept: Iconic 8-bit game characters brought to life in real world environments.
8-bitscapes was developed back in 2010 by Jamie Sneddon & photographer Kevin Rozario-Johnson. Jamie created the 8-bit characters and plot scenarios, and worked them into Kev's photographs, sourced mainly through his travel portfolio. Jamie used Sketchup, Photoshop and Illustrator to create the illusion, no other cgi platforms were used.
The project, consiting of large A0 & A1 diabond photographic panels, was exhibited in the 2010 London Design Festival as well as in Köln [Cologne], Germany for the 2011 Platine Festival, a vimeo of this event can be found here. If you'd like to find out more about the project then please head on over to the main exhibition website. Or for more detailed information about the prints, try Jamie’s illustration homepage.
